Super Slippery and Shiny: Latex Lube Wrestling

Well, how's about that.

Yesterday VeVe and newcomer Jay Dirtin got into their respective black latex attire, covered everything they could in silicone lube, and then went at it for a 20 minute competitive mixed wrestling match.  I had some bright spotlights on them, so the result was very shiny.... and, of course, incredibly slippery.

The idea for this match came when VeVe asked Jay what sort of interesting attire he had for a video.  He reported that he had some latex shorts.  And with that, VeVe decided this would be a good opportunity to try her latex lube wrestling idea - something she'd been wanting to try for some time now.

It was also a great opportunity for her to put her newly acquired latex attire to good use!

Latex lube wrestling is similar to oil wrestling, except, of course, you absolutely can not use oil on latex.  So, we used something that latex loves: silicone lubricant!  Silicone lube is extremely slippery, I kid you not, and a little goes a long way.  It doesn't absorb into the skin like oil, so when you put it onto something, it stays unless it's washed off with soap.  So, like I said, slippery and shiny - yes, very much.

While the slipperiness baffled Jay incredibly so, it didn't seem to phase VeVe very much at all.  So Jay bore the brunt of VeVe's latex-clad assault.  I'll say more on this later, as I write the official description, but for now, enjoy these screen captures!

May 2013 Double Trouble plus Cover Image Talk

Wow.  It's finally June?  May was out of control.  Simply out of control.  I lost track of how many things I filmed in May.  I feel like I just kept stamping "May 2013" on so many video title cards.

And I don't even feel like I can talk too much about May because the new release queue is still quite full of unreleased May videos.  So, you know, I'm here thinking I need to get back to work at selecting preview pictures, selecting cover images (always the greatest challenge), and writing descriptions.

But here in this blog entry, I will talk a little bit about May.  And then I will talk a little bit about cover images.

May 2013

May 2013 kicked off with a barrage of 2-on-1 videos.  Various fans had recently been asking for 2-on-1s and other multi-person matches, so we got to work on putting one out.

Well, actually, hold that thought.  Our FIRST release for May, which was filmed in late April, was supposed to be a 2-on-1 video that ended up as a 1-on-1.  That was the incredibly popular "Bondage Wrestling: VeVe vs Candy Pain."  Originally slated to be a double team of Candy + Sircee vs VeVe, but winding up as Candy getting wound-up and bound-up  from going solo against rope expert VeVe.  This was released into our clips store on May 1, and it proved to be a remarkably loved video, hitting the #1 spot in all Bondage category at clips4sale.

We next filmed a Karate video with Indra and Adrian.  When that shoot was wrapped up, we decided that we just couldn't wait to get that first May 2-on-1 to happen, so we asked Indra and Adrian to put aside their differences and take on VeVe, who had been acting as the production director for the karate video.  So, our FIRST 2-on-1 of May was also our first mixed team competitive 2-on-1 (one male + one female vs one female).

We later got Candy and Sircee together to also get them on VeVe.  The ladies came in for a wrestling match, but I was still so fixated on the 2-on-1 bondage match idea, as we tried to set up on the first attempt. So, after the ladies fought in the wrestling match, I asked them to stick around and do a second match in rope-tie style.  Sircee and Candy readily agreed, both having been tied up by VeVe before.

So by mid-month, we already had three 2-on-1 competitive matches: mixed, FvF, and bondage wrestling.  And we rounded out the total with a mixed domination 2-on-1 with VeVe, Shauna Ryanne, and me in "Bondage Punishment in Leather," which we just released today.  That's 4 2-on-1s for May 2013.  How's that for a lot of numericals?!

May also saw the creation of the 4-way Female Bondage Wrestling video I mentioned in my previous entry. It also saw VeVe and Indra filming a karate "Iron Palm" striking video together, plus VeVe & Hanz in an intense Bondage Wrestling Rematch, as well as a new pro-style video a la "Diablo Dominates" (super shiny), VeVe's Boston Crab Domination short-video, and Sircee's first mixed domination video, titled "Sircee's Facesitting Smothers and Scissors."

Whew.

Some have been released, and others are still calling to me... even now... to come and create their preview pages.

Cover Images

Now a small discussion of cover images.

As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.  And when it comes to selecting a cover image for a new video, you want to be sure those are one-thousand very good words that say exactly what you need them to say.  The cover is the icon for the product, and it is the loudest, strongest statement you can make about a production.

So, sometimes it is stressful to select a cover image.  Sometimes, if a video is pretty diverse, we need to consider 4-way or 2-way cover images - images which are a combination of images.  However, as colleagues and I have discussed, a multi-way image just doesn't have the same power as a good single image.  That aside, the single image is bigger.

Selecting the best cover image is indeed a task.  Sometimes I wind up looking at several images that are only a few frames different and then deciding between those.  Little glitches can "ruin" a good potential cover: bodies are great but face is blurred or hidden; faces look great, but too much motion blur; hand placement here looks awkward or inappropriate (!); everything is perfect, except that she/he is making a horrid face... for several frames.  Big frown.

When I'm filming, I do actively try to look for the cover image as the action is going on.  If I can mark in my mind "this moment is a perfect cover," it makes the cover search a lot easier.  No need to tease the video frame by frame for the selection; I'm right there in the moment, and I can get the exact framing I need to tell the story in one shot.  That is, of course, provided I'm not foiled by motion blur in post-production image-capturing.

When I appear in a video, I try to remember to tell my stand-in camera-operators: "Try to think of every frame as the cover image."  Sometimes they get it, sometimes they don't.  Sometimes I forget to give that cue.  But I do think it is a good cue, and I do think it is a good way of working the framing.

In any case, that's my short statement on video cover images.  And speaking of cover images, yes, I do need to get to work at selecting some for these unreleased May videos!

Filming with Kim, Shauna Ryanne, Sircee, Indra, VeVe - whew!

So, yesterday was an epic filming day.

And when I say "epic," I don't just mean it in the common, colloquial manner of "awesome" or "super duper."  No, when I say epic here, I mean like the Odyssey.  And the lliad.  And the Aeneid.  All rolled up into one and strung out end-to-end!

So, yes, THAT sort of epic.

No shit, there I was - together with VeVe, Indra, Sircee, Shauna Ryanne, and Kim of Italy.  And my trusty camera, of course.  Thus we commenced a long, multi-hour, multi-part, multi-person filming day.

The shoot was initially set up as a 4-girl bondage wrestling shoot featuring VeVe, Shauna, Indra, and a 4th lady yet-to-be-found but who was to resemble the 3 others.  VeVe returned from her long road trip and immediately began a week-long search for the 4th.  She posted to various modeling social media sites and networking sites, she petitioned friends and colleagues to ask their friends and colleagues, but unfortunately everyone was unavailable (we were to film Memorial Day weekend, you see).

Finally, one day before the scheduled shoot, we got a message from Kim of Italy saying that she would be in town and asking about borrowing mats.  VeVe threw a "hail Mary" pass and sent a shout out to Kim to see if she'd like to be in the video as the 4th person.  Kim is not a native English speaker, so VeVe did her best to explain the fairly complex scenario.... and Kim agreed!

Well, how intriguing.  Kim had last filmed with us in 2010 before she went back to Italy for the next 3 years. This was before we instituted bondage wrestling.  So, Kim came into the game completely new to the rope-tie style.  Kim, however, had fought in a great many competitive wrestling videos, several of which were against VeVe.  She was always a fierce competitor and game for a match.  Now, just add some rope and a story, and a few other players...

VeVe and Indra were the first to arrive at the studio on filming day.  Shauna was embroiled in a pre-fight struggle with the Long Island Rail Road, so she was delayed for the shoot.  So, we called on Sircee to come early to join the action (she was scheduled to come much later), and VeVe and Indra entertained Kim and the camera with some bondage escapes.  First VeVe and Indra raced each other in a hog tie escape.  Then they worked collectively to escape several ties that involved them being tied together.

After the ladies' entertaining escape antics, we switched into a new studio as Shauna arrived.  Then, with Sircee still in transit, we started the 4-way bondage wrestling shoot.  And this is where the temperature really started to climb...

This video was an every-woman-for-herself 4-way match.  No double teaming or team work of any sort was allowed.  Basically, there would be two simultaneous matches, which would determine the final two competitors.  They ladies draw straws to determine who would fight whom first - VeVe vs Shauna / Indra vs Kim.  The grand winner would then win the honor of tickling the feet of the hogtied losers, ball gagging them, and then tickling them some more.  And so, with the conditions set, off we went...

After 9 minutes of struggle, Shauna and Indra found themselves immobilized, leaving VeVe and Kim to face off... again.. after 3 years.  But for the first time with rope.

We all expected VeVe to secure the victory within 10 minutes, perhaps with ease.  However, it didn't quite work out that way.  You see, by this point, there were only 3 pieces of rope left, and bondage wrestling requires more rope for faster results.  VeVe bound Kim's ankles together, but Kim bound VeVe's ankles together, leaving only one short piece of rope to work with...

The struggle that followed was long, sweaty, highly competitive, and quite vicious.

I thought for a moment that I was filming the VeVe vs Hanz: REMATCH again.  Total deja vu moment.  Indeed, VeVe's temper was rising as Kim slipped out of a near-finish  - a miraculous escape from VeVe's patented double elbow tie after about 15 minutes of fighting.  When she fought Hanz, VeVe had no problem getting nasty and vicious in order to get her way, breaking grips, rope-burning skin, and using submission attacks.  But could she do that with visitor Kim?  Wouldn't it be rather impolite to rough-handle a guest?  As the match wore on and Kim continued to resist, VeVe started to put her quibbles aside...

As their fight neared the 30-minute mark, VeVe contemplated choking her opponent unconscious.  After all, according to the rules, submission holds are allowed if they help further a tie.  But they will not stop the action, score any points, or be held after a tapout.   The match blazed on, with the competitors working furiously and fighting over the three ropes.  And in the meanwhile, hogtied Shauna and Indra looked on, calling encouragements until they both fell into silent amazement at the length and ferocity of the match.

And finally, FINALLY, VeVe captured Kim's ankles and bound them painfully tight.  With Kim at last beginning to tire, VeVe forced on the double-elbow tie, still, though, with difficulty.  She used the remaining rope to bind Kim's wrists together and then removed the double-elbow rope in order to complete the hogtie.  And, oh my, that was tense!

VeVe moved into the tickling punishment.  But when she moved on for the ball gagging, Kim resisted yet again, causing VeVe to handle her former foe quite harshly.  The air was full of tension static and humidity, but the match was finally competed.

But we had only completed one of our three schedule videos.

Our rental time had expired in that studio, but we quickly then switched out the 4 bondage wrestlers for me and Sircee.  VeVe took the camera and filmed a 10 minute video we've dubbed "Sircee's Facesitting Smother and Scissors."  And, the name says it all.  Essentially, Sircee discovered the true effectiveness of her pinning ability in her 2-on-1 matches with Candy against VeVe, and so, she gave us an unrestrained demonstration.

Sircee's video follows VeVe's "Facesitting and Scissors" series of videos.  After having been crushed by both of these ladies, I can say that Sircee has a definite edge in smothering power and crushing ability.  And her scissors were rather destructive; she's got a lot of leg to work with.

After that, we moved all of the mats and gear downstairs to the next studio.  Sircee took up the camera as I prepared for another dose of punishment.  Now I was to face a 20 minute bondage beatdown delivered by VeVe and Shauna clad in leather domme-ish attire.  Why me?  This is not normally my gig!  But our previously-scheduled victim Thrash had gotten sick the night before, and since we could not secure a replacement in time (despite my efforts!), I was the only one left to take up the mantle.

And, of course, by this point the camera battery decided that it had had enough.  How's that for stress?  Time to plug into the wall with the power adapter.

And on we go for the meanness, nastiness, knock down, take down, disrobing, punching, slapping, leather boots, scissoring, crushing, mocking, tickling, bondage, belittling... and I mentioned meanness, right?!  You see, I was playing a creepy stalker who got his comeuppance.  Ouch.

I don't know about you, but by this point I was pretty exhausted.

I had entered the studio building at 3 pm, and we wrapped up at 8 pm.  Yeah, it was epic.  It was an adventure!

And now, it's all getting finished up here in the editing studio.  Whew!

Recent May News, Bondage, and Double Teams

I recently posted this to our yahoogroup, but it also really belongs here as well.  My time is very limited right now as I prepare for the first of today's filmings.  But I'm very excited about recent goings on for May, so here is a quick summary:

As we entered May, we got to thinking "We need to get in a bit more bondage wrestling and some more multi-person matches."  And, well, that certainly has gone into effect so far!

As you've seen from recent announcements, last week we filmed a Karate Domination scenario with Indra and Adrian.  And since these two worked so well together on that video... and since we had some time left over, Indra and Adrian shook hands to settle their differences, pulled VeVe off of her director's chair, and took her on in this month's first 2 vs 1 match.

In late April, we tried for a 2-on-1 of Sircee and Candy vs VeVe, but Sircee couldn't make it to the shoot (but this resulted in a lovely bondage wrestling match between VeVe and Candy).  However, yesterday we finally got a chance to put our 2 new heavy-weight wrestlers against VeVe.

And they got two chances at this!

First Candy (5'8" and 170 lbs) and Sircee (5'7" and 178 lbs) teamed up for a pins & submissions wrestling match against VeVe.  The ladies grappled for 12 minutes in this match and get incredibly sweaty.  And I will mention that they gave VeVe quite a bit of rough-handling.  But VeVe saw the MOST rough handling in the match that immediately followed:  Candy & Sircee vs VeVe in a 2-on-1 bondage wrestling match.

VeVe is clever, skilled, and squirmy.... but being outweighed, out numbered, and beset by ladies with ropes... ladies who had concocted a game plan ahead of time... well, that  makes for a really tough time.  Crushing, rope burn, sweating, exertion.  It looked great!

And on the topic of bondage: earlier we released a bondage wrestling spy-assassin domination video with VeVe and Thrash in the Lethal Leotards Syndicate series.  And now today, in 30 minutes from now, we'll be filming a different style of mixed bondage wrestling match.  Indeed, VeVe and Hanz dig up an old grudge as Hanz seeks to redeem himself in a bondage wrestling REMATCH.  Almost exactly a year following his initial defeat and immobilization at the hands of rope-wrangler VeVe.

VeVe has had QUITE a week, fighting two tough 2-on-1s yesterday.  She's coming straight from MMA sparring class to take this match with Hanz.  Does she have enough strength and energy to power through these exhausting times?  Or will she find herself tied into submission?  Can Hanz capitalize on this moment?

Indra Onslaught, VeVe Fights Angry, Pro-Style Potential

Hello April.  Whew, that was a long March.  I feel like I have just been stamping "March 2013 MixedWrestlingNYC.com" on so many video pieces lately.  And, well, I think indeed I have been.

My last post was a little quicky, though I hope the pictures added up to the thousand words they are suppose to.  Now that I have a moment, I am going to give a more proper recapping.  Here goes.

Indra Onslaught

As you have likely gathered by now, I filmed quite a lot with Indra recently.  She arrived from London for March, and she got right out in front of the camera almost immediately.  March 2013's works are filled with Indra; she's done customs, company-ventured pieces, tickling, bondage, nylons, judo foot action, and even some balloon popping for VeVe's balloonery endeavors.

Indra + Mark = Endless Abuses.  ShortFuse Mark came back for a visit late in March, and he had a marathon day of filming with Indra.  I filmed pieces for both his studio (Brutal Beauties Wrestling) and for our studio (Mixed Wrestling NYC).  All with Indra putting the hurt on him in a variety of ways.

She wrestled him down, tied him up super tight, and harassed him.  She got into her nylons and scissored him silly, adding even more insults to injury.  She pushed him to the limit to get him to "safeword" out of a thrashing she'd been giving him.  And she judo threw him, kicked him in the knees, and subjected him to the agony of "de feet."  And even though she did new video after new video, she kept it fresh and alive every time.  Very impressive, but I have always been very impressed with Indra's trash talking domination abilities, professionalism, and performance skill.

She and Mark worked very well together, and good chemistry is essentially for a great result.  They communicated well during the shoot, understood each other, and got on a roll.  A good recipe for pushing limits and boundaries in a beatdown type situation.  Great work, both of you.

VeVe's Goings-On and Fighting Angry!

I must also mention that VeVe kicked off the Indra/Mark shoot day with her own video with Mark.  This one makes for a good telling...

VeVe was asked to do a fully competitive Full Nelsons Match with Mark.  No big deal, right?  I mean, it's Mark.  However, things are never as easy as they may appear.  You see, even though Mark is useless as an attacker, he can be tenacious as a defender.  And in a match where the one objective is to achieve a certain difficult hold, well, the defensive-oriented player has the "edge."

So, here's VeVe working and working and working to get both of her arms snaked around Mark's neck for the full Nelson, but Mark kept forcing his arms down and had a leverage advantage in doing so.  So... VeVe tosses him over and over, throwing him into different positions in order to try and work his arms loose.  But he kept defending.  And time was ticking.

Here's a tip for your own safety: don't make her frustrated.

Well, here she was getting frustrated.  And it just isn't pleasant to experience this if you are her opponent.  So, Mark soon found that he was getting heel kicked in the hips and torso.  And he was getting slammed down with a little extra force, that he was getting elbows dug into him, that he was about to get his head detached from his body.

I was watching this, and I was getting a little nervous, actually.  She was getting furious, she was fighting angry, and Mark was still holding on for dear life.  I mean, it was great emotion in the fight; it was raw and right out there.  I've experienced her fighting angry before, and I really don't think any of her male video opponents have had the pleasure.  Basically, it looks like she is out to kill you.  And maybe she will!

Finally, finally, and much to my great relief (I was sweating!), his limbs started getting exhausted and giving out on him, and as VeVe flipped him face down, she ferociously slipped her arms behind his neck and locked on like a pitbull.  I've shown this before, but this still is from a few moments after that, once she'd rolled him face-up:

It was a really great, passionate fight.  Once VeVe scored her first full Nelson hold (held for 15 seconds), Mark's adrenal burst had been spent.  So, VeVe helped defuse her anger by locking him up more and more, all as he struggled to get his bearings.  But his body was just too spent from about 13 minutes of heavy, heavy resisting.  So, he had to bear the brunt of more nelsons and grapevines as VeVe ground her win into his face.

Ok, wow, recounting that was actually pretty exhausting!

Pro-Style Potential

Taking a break from the above train of thought for a moment, allow me to talk about a potential new addition to our wrestling video community.

I met a young lady two weeks ago, introduced to me by Orlandoe.  She's a performance artist with a 13-year background in gymnastics.  She also has a background in mud wrestling and jello wrestling, and she's a big fan of the ladies of G.L.O.W. (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, from the 80s).  As we also learned, she is also a friend and colleague of Amazon Annie, who was also inspired by the ladies of G.L.O.W.

Well, how great!

She's about 5'8" and 170 lbs, with long wild hair, strong legs, and an energetic personality.  However, she has yet to reveal her wrestler name; she's working on finding the perfect name for herself.  I wish she would have it soon!  

Anyway, we invited her and Indra to come down for a Pro-Style Holds workshop this past Monday, and the ladies had a great time working together.  I think our newcomer has great pro-style potential, and she and Indra got on very well.  While I was able to grab a few snapshots from the workshop, I admit I wasn't able to run the camera very much... and we did work on quite a number of holds, ranging from the simple surfboard, to the camel clutch, boston crab, and even ceiling hold.

We are very excited to see her in her first video, and she is especially interested in performing in female vs female pro-style videos.  Hopefully we can also get some of our male talent trained up enough to get more involved in pro-style as well, so we can also get her involved in mixed action.

Speaking of mixed pro-style too, I think I have my sights on Hanz as my next trainee here.  I'm not really sure how he will do, but I think he may have potential.  What do you think, Hanz, are you reading this? :)

Hanz and I need to switch roles here in the pro-style genre - he always films me, so it's his turn for me to film him being all spandex-clad and larger-than-life.

And VeVe gots a little furious at Mark during one special rules match.  When Mark was super defensive during their competitive Nelsons match, VeVe cranked up the intensity as her anger flared.  You wouldn't have wanted to be Mark in this one...

I also filmed with Dominique Danger, Hanz, Athena, Orlandoe.... and did I mention I got to experience 30 minutes of mixed wrestling victory?  Maybe I mentioned it in an earlier post, but if not....
